Joy and her kids came in June.
We tried to take them to every historical site we could. I think we about killed them off. But we had a great time with them.
On Sunday the 21st we attended the “Why I Believe” at the Visitors’ Center. The speaker was Coach Ken Niumatalolo of the U.S. Naval Academy. He is one of the featured people in the movie “Meet the Mormons”. We had the privilege of having he and his wife come to the temple very often. They are really great people.
On the 22nd we went to Roosevelt Island with the Smiths and Sister Stringham.
That evening we had a Father’s Day Pot Luck at the apt. complex.
On Thursday the 25th we Went to the Strathmore Music Center to hear the Tabernacle Choir which was absolutely glorious.
Friday the 26th we went to dinner with the Osborns (friends from our Ward in Idaho Falls that now live in the WDC area) at Chilies. We are going to miss them when we go home.
Saturday the 27th we went to dinner at the mall food court with the Moyles. They have become such dear friends to us.
Here they are with Brother & Sister Parker. She is the daughter of President Ezra Taft Benson. Bro. & Sister Parker come to the temple every week. We really enjoyed working with them.
