Month of May 2016

Our ward had a Super Senior Dinner hosted by the Young Men & Young Women.
We enjoyed the meal and Rich enjoyed the dancing. Sandra had hurt her knee working in the yard so she could not dance. Rich was invited to dance by several young women.

Sprayed weeds on the hill. We always have a problem with thistle on our property up on the Iona hill.

Can you see Rich in his red coat spraying the thistle?

Cleaned the church. We were in charge of the team to clean the church on May 7th. We haven’t been assigned to do that cleaning for several years.

Visited Broadbents. They were the Mission President and wife in Africa.
Alway brings back GREAT memories.

Checked out the Heber Valley Camp where we plan to have our family reunion.

Stayed with Lee & Nancy in SLC and had a good visit with them and Hal & Debbie.

Had Stake Conference this month. Always a great experience.

Hosted the “Empty Nesters” evening. Each month we meet with several other “Empty Nester” couples in our ward. It was at our home this month. We did the color code thing about personalities.

Deseret Industries orientation.

Our ward calling is Welfare and Employment and this month they held a meeting to tell us all about the Deseret Industries. We learned a lot that we didn’t previously know. They provide much more than inexpensive stuff for people. In fact their main purpose is to help people get back into the work force.

Kiegan, Jamie and Aria came to visit. We enjoyed our great grand-daughter a lot!!
 Played in the castle.
Had cookout on our deck.

Memorial Day.

Sandra went back and colored the flowers on Shirley's grave.

Great month. Our yard is shaping up and looking good. Watch for photos next month.
