Then a dinner invitation by the Maias.
They are originally from Brazil. They now live in the US and speak very good english (and several other languages). Bro. Maia is in the bishopric with Rich and Bro. Moyle.
Here’s a view of what we see every morning when we go to the temple during the early spring when the sun is up and it's not covered by the leaves of the trees.
It is a view over our Stake Center at the spires of the Temple.
On April 3rd we had a dinner with our good friends the Jensens as they they are leaving to go home.
They live in Kimberly Idaho.
April 13th some of the missionaries went down to the water front and took a cruise on the Potomic River.
Then we did a quick tour of the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin.
Then that evening we had the April Birthday Party.
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
Sister Rydalch went to a balloon tying lesson by one of the Sister missionaries. She's a professional clown.
On the 20th we had another Hail & Farewell. Two new couples hailed.
And a few of our friends leaving.
Always sad to see them go. Sister Hernandez is from Spain. Lots of interesting stories associated with her.
Bro. & Sister Erickson did a skit starring Foresta Gump.
The missionaries leaving come up with some really interesting ways to say goodbye.
April 22, after we got out of the temple we went to a Chinese dance show called Shen Yun – Chinese Performing Arts event at the Kennedy Center. The music was different than what we’re used to.
April 27th – We went to Hershey, PA.
We learned a lot about Mr. Hershey and all the good he has done for orphaned children.
Then we met the rest of the ward at Lancaster for lunch at the Shady Maple Restaurant and went to the Amish store and purchased a fancy clock.
Along with all the great temple experiences, we are having the time of our lives.
