Seems like we just don’t have much to do here. On Monday the 4th, which is our “P” day, Sandra wrote letters to our 3 daughters and Alison for Mother’s day, went shopping for groceries, made jam, gave herself a perm, planted flowers in a big pot, did laundry, and made crustos for the birthday party that night. Then we attended the party (that was Rich’s part).
On May 9th Kyle, Donna and Sevannah came to visit. We had a good time with them. But I think we wore them out the first day. We tried to cram everything we have seen in 14 months into a week for them.
We visited a lot of the museums and went to one of the IMAX 3D movies.
May 18th - We went to the National Arboretum.
Lots of oriental plants:
And many other interesting things to see:
And some not so interesting:
That evening we had the monthly Hail & Farewell.
For the rest of the month we just did our normal days at the Temple.
We are feeling the end creep up on us and we are having mixed emotions. It’s nice to think about going home to see our family and friends, but also a sad side to be leaving all our friends here. As the missionaries that were here before we came leave we are also a bit sad. We will soon be the “oldies” here in the mission.
